Banfield Pet Hospital has named Anne Murphy as its new chief information officer and senior vice president of information technology.
In her new role, Murphy will direct all aspects of IT, including support and technical services, network/telecom, software development and systems.
Prior to joining Banfield, Murphy was vice president of support and operations at Target Corporation, where she led a global team and was responsible for the operational health and stability of the company’s technology.
“Anne’s breadth of experience and proven track record of innovative and collaborative partnerships makes her the right person to keep Banfield at the forefront of pet health technology and informatics,” said Vincent Bradley, president and chief executive officer for Banfield. “This includes PetWare®, our proprietary software used to serve the millions of pets cared for in our hospitals.”
Murphy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Metropolitan State University and an MBA from University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Integra, a Vancouver-based provider of fiber-based technology solutions has named Marc Willency as its new CEO. Willency will also serve on Integra’s Board of Directors.
Willency joins Integra with more than 17 years at leading industry companies. In his new role, he will be responsible for growing Integra’s two primary business units, Integra Business and Electric Lightwave, to accelerate the execution of the company’s long-term strategy of building upon its unique and expansive network assets to deliver on the sophisticated communications needs of its customers.
Most recently, Willency served as group vice president for customer solutions and enablement at Level 3 Communications, where he oversaw several sales, operations and customer experience management functions in the North American region. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of customer operations at tw telecom.

Willency’s first day is Tuesday, September 8.
JAMES CHADWICK
Riverview Community Bank has appointed James “Jim” Chadwick to its Boards of Directors. Chadwick is a portfolio manager and director of research for Ancora Advisors LLC.
The appointment is part of an agreement with Ancora Advisors LLC, an Ohio-based investment advisor.
Chadwick has more than 15 years of investment experience working in the shareholder activist arena, with a focus on micro and small cap companies. His activist engagements include operating companies, banks, closed-end funds and a wide array of industries.
“We are pleased to have Jim joining the board as a representative of the investment community and believe it will be productive to have an institutional shareholder represented on the board,” said Riverview CEO Pat Sheaffer. “He brings to the board significant financial expertise and experience in strategic investments.”
