Current job: Agency owner with American Family Insurance
Proudest professional moment: I have two: Relocating back to Vancouver and reopening my AmFam Agency after being away for five years in Walla Walla; co-founding the Young Professionals of Vancouver (YPOV) and, nine years later, regaining presidency with the organization, which has since been re-birthed as Emerging Professionals in Clark County (EPICC).
First job: Server for my parent’s Greek Restaurant, Coffee Talk, in downtown Vancouver at the age of 12.
Fun fact: I was baptized with the name “Adamantini,” (pronounced A-the-man-dini), which is Greek for Tina. Nobody could pronounce it, let alone spell it, so my parents had it legally changed when I was five.
Favorite spot on a Saturday night: As long as it’s with good company and a glass of wine, I’m content anywhere, or at a local fundraiser dinner event.
Favorite movie: “A League of Their Own.” I’m a diehard softball player.
Music of choice: Depends on my mood. Lately my Pandora stations have been Sam Smith, Adele, Country, Top Hits and Parov Stelar.
Favorite place to eat: My mother’s – her home cooking can’t be beat. Otherwise I’m at Beaches. I love the atmosphere, the service and that summer view puts me in my happy place.
Motto/Inspirational quote: “When Life knocks you down, try and land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Let your reason get you back up.” – Les Brown. This has been my unforgettable mantra through some extremely challenging times in my life.
