MICHAEL METCALF
PeaceHealth Medical Group has named Michael Metcalf as its chief operating officer. Metcalf will join the company on July 13, 2015.
In his new role, Metcalf will work closely with the organization’s leadership team, as well as new chief medical officer Mike Murphy, to guide the medical group into the future of population health.
Metcalf has more than 25 years of experience in large, multi-specialty group practices and is a strong advocate for integrated delivery systems. He most recently served as executive vice president of clinic operations with Essentia Health, an integrated health system in Duluth, Minn. Metcalf holds a master’s degree in business administration.
CHELSEA CHUNN
The Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council (SWWDC) has promoted Chelsea Chunn to director of Workforce services.
In her new role, Chunn will oversee SWWDC’s adult Workforce Investment Act (WIA) programs, WorkSource one-stop centers in Clark and Cowlitz counties and the Youth Initiatives team. In addition, she will serve as the organization’s equal opportunity officer and manage several grants including Housing Works and a Rapid Response grant to assist the long-term unemployed.
Over the past year and a half, Chunn has provided leadership as SWWDC’s Youth Initiatives Manager, developing, implementing and managing strategies and programming to expose youth to training and employment opportunities for the region’s high-demand jobs.
Chunn has more than 10 years of experience working with nonprofits to serve a variety of populations including those involved in the justice system, college access and training systems, state benefit systems, foster care and social service and homeless systems.
WENDY LENZ
YWCA Clark County recently hired Wendy Lenz as its new director of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in Vancouver.
As director of CASA, Wendy will oversee staff and nearly 200 highly-trained volunteers who provide advocacy to children involved in the dependency court system. She will also work closely with the Vancouver Police Department, Clark County Sherriff’s Office, and other nonprofit and government agencies serving the needs of abused and neglected children in Clark County.
Lenz previously served as interim CASA director for six months, and prior to that served four years as a program specialist for CASA and three years as an advocate for SafeChoice Domestic Violence Program at YWCA Clark County.
Before joining YWCA Clark County in 2007, Lenz spent 15 years working for Nordstrom overseeing compliance with the American Disabilities Act. YWCA Clark County operates the only CASA program in Southwest Washington.
