Current job: Community services manager for the Agency on Aging & Disabilities of Southwest Washington.
Proudest professional moment: Anytime I get the opportunity to tell people about the agency I work for and the wonderful work we do!
First job: My first paid job was a cook, if you can call it that, at Kentucky Fried Chicken. I was a senior in high school. My first unpaid job was probably putting away my toys as a kid. I wasn’t very good at it and should have been fired.
Fun fact: I was 10 years old playing in a basketball tournament at the local YMCA. I shot at the wrong basket and scored two points for the opposing team. We lost the game by one point. Needless to say that was the end of my basketball career.
Favorite spot on a Saturday night: Anywhere with my wife and daughter.
Favorite movie: So many to choose from as I really enjoy going to movies. “Despicable Me 2” is one of my favorite movies, and you can’t go wrong with “Mission Impossible” or “Bourne” movies. Have you watched “12 Years a Slave?” That was also a great movie, but for different reasons. Oh, and the first “Hunger Games” movie I thought was brilliant. See, too many movies to choose from!
Music of choice: 70’s Classic Rock – Eagles, Boston, Foreigner and anything by James Taylor.
Favorite place to eat: Let’s see, there’s Red Robin with bottomless fries (you can never have too many French fries). I do like Thai food. If I have to choose a favorite place to eat, it’s Ruth’s Chris Steak House, especially if someone else is paying. The food and service is terrific.
Motto/Inspirational quote: “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.” – Jim Elliot
