JANET JAMES
The Parks Foundation of Clark County recently announced that Janet James has been hired to serve as Events & Communication Specialist for the nonprofit organization.
With a strong background in campaign management, business development and event planning, James has spent the last 14 years managing legislative races, and acting as treasurer for legislative and local candidates.
“I am so very happy to bring Janet on to the Parks Foundation team,” said Executive Director Dianna Kretzschmar. “I have worked with Janet over the years on many community projects and her energy is inspiring. 2018 is going to be a great year for parks in Clark County, and I know Janet has the skills and passion to help us tell our story about why parks, trails and recreational programs help define a thriving community.
The Foundation’s first event of 2018 will be the popular St. Paddy’s Day for Kids, held at The Luepke Senior Center on Saturday, March 10. St. Paddy’s for Kids is a free resource and activity fair for kids and families. The event will feature a Wearing of the Green Parade, face painting and many other activities for the whole family to enjoy.
PATRICIA YOUNG
Johnson Bixby, a financial planning firm with offices in Vancouver and Longview, recently announced that Patricia Young has completed the requirements for becoming a Certified Financial Planner.
Young believes in the ability of sound financial planning to improve quality of life, and she loves being connected with people every day and looks forward to working with new and current Johnson Bixby clients.
Young brings a wealth of experience to Johnson Bixby. Previously, she worked at Oregon State University in the Human Resources department. It was here that she learned the ins and outs of retirement benefits and federal compliance.
She earned her master’s in business administration at Oregon State University.
JESSICA RANDALL
Salsbury & Co. recently announced Jessica Randall’s promotion to Junior Consultant.
Randall will join S&C’s team of talented business management consultants providing small businesses with a strong operational foundation.
After graduating from the University of Oregon, Randall entered the healthcare industry and moved up quickly to executive management. Her desire for continuous learning then led her to become a Certified Quality Improvement Associate. As a former business owner herself, Randall is a natural problem solver, and has the knowledge and capacity to improve processes to better workflow and security for a company.
