Washougal Transfer Station
Construction of a waste transfer station for Vancouver-based Columbia Resource Co. began in June on property of the Port of Camas-Washougal, 3720 S. Grant St. in Washougal. Vancouver-based Larry O. Collins Inc. is general contractor for the $1.75 million project and the project executive is Mike Stajgr. The Columbia Resource Co. site will operate under California-based and Waste Connections Inc., which has 47 other transfer stations and 1.5 million customers in 23 states.
