Vancouver-based LSW to design Clark College complex
Clark College announced a new classroom complex to be located on the college's main campus in Vancouver's Central Park in the Winter 2010 issue of Clark College Collections magazine.
Called the STEM Center, named for the science, technology, engineering and math classes to take place under its roof, the four-story structure will be designed by Casey Wyckoff of Vancouver-based LSW Architects.
According to Clark College, the building will feature state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories and interactive displays.
"The Clark College STEM Center will serve as the leader for STEM education and training in Southwest Washington, the Pacific Northwest and the nation," said vice president of instruction Dr. Rassoul Dastmozd.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2011.
Pacific Power to give more than $394K for solar projects
Six community-based solar energy projects are receiving $394,750 in funding from Pacific Power's Blue Sky renewable energy program.
"From Walla Walla to Coos Bay, to Portland rooftops our customers are showing their deep commitment to building a renewable energy future," said Pat Reiten, president of Pacific Power. "December is not usually the month to tout solar energy in the Northwest, but these projects are leading the way and we're proud to be part of them through our Blue Sky customers."
