The Source Climbing Center, a rock climbing facility coming to the corner of 12th and Main Street in downtown Vancouver, held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, May 9.
The facility, on track for a September opening, will feature climbing walls up to 36 feet tall and a 14-foot bouldering wall for more advanced climbers.
The project is backed by two friends with a passion for climbing: Former instructor and climbing wall designer Hanz Kroesen and instructor Michael Lary.
“These talented entrepreneurs are bringing something world class to our city,” said Lee Rafferty, Executive Director of Vancouver’s Downtown Association. “We are thrilled to have the excitement of a new project in the heart of our downtown.”
