Current job: HR and compliance director for Landrace Brands.
Proudest professional moment: I started in the cannabis industry as an activist, raising awareness and collecting signatures for cannabis decriminalization in Washington. It was far from a lone effort, but the passage of I-502 by voters in 2012 was a proud moment for those of us in the cannabis community. On a more personal level, there was a time where I was able to help a mentee develop the skills they needed to land a sought-after promotion, and eventually score an awesome new job. I am still so proud of them!
First job: My first job after babysitting was as an Ice Cream Scooper at Baskin Robbins – the same first job as President Barack Obama! I loved making extravagant sundaes and practicing piping frosting on cakes.
Fun fact: My name is a portmanteau of my parents’ names (Terry + Leah = Terah) and an anagram for earth and heart.
Favorite spot on a Saturday night: If I am going out, I’d love to be in the grass at the amphitheater watching a live show! I also enjoy nights in, snuggled up with my two kids watching Disney movies or doing craft projects.
Favorite movie: “Benny & Joon,” “The Big Lebowski,” “The Pursuit of Happyness,” “Booksmart,” “Grease” and all the “Harry Potter” movies.
Music of choice: My current playlist consists of a lot of upbeat pop like Lizzo, Halsey and Taylor Swift – but I love all genres and I am particularly stoked about the recent announcement of a My Chemical Romance reunion!
Favorite place to eat: Beyond a newfound infatuation with homemade pasta – my two local faves are ThaiTime off 49th Street (they have the best pad thai) and Twilight Pizza in Camas (The Cheeky Monkey Pizza … mmm!).
