The beginning of February brought further expansion for Vancouver-based Avid Health Inc., the parent company of Northwest Natural Products and Nutrition Now.
The maker of nutritional supplements and vitamins recently completed the lease of 23,520 square feet of warehouse space at Quad 205 Distribution II, 3801 N.E. 109th Ave., in Vancouver.
Added to other leases at the same business park, Avid Health has leased 110,000 square feet in the last year, said Operations Administration Manager Annora Dickey.
Quad 205 Distribution II is just more than three miles from the company’s five-building site headquartered at 6350 N.W. Campus Drive, near Fort Vancouver High School.
“We didn’t have enough warehouse space, and Quad 205 is just down the road,” Dickey said.
She attributed the need for extra space to volume of sales and planning.
“We’re able to move around much more easily,” Dickey said.
The company doesn’t have immediate plans to buy more warehouse space or build to suit, but it is watching what happens at the nearby Kyocera site.
“It’s a difficult place to be because it has so many restrictions, but should that change and it gets cleaned up, we’d probably be interested in it,” Dickey said. “As it is, there’s not a lot of open room.”
William Connelly of Eric Fuller and Assoc. represented Quad 205 Distribution II’s owner, Ridgefield-based Kittelson Properties LLC, in the transaction.
