The Vancouver Clinic has opened its new Neurology Department with the arrival of Dr. Kristin Gabriel (above left) and Dr. Mary Ransom-Schwaeber.
Dr. Gabriel holds a Master of Public Health degree from Florida International University and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University. Her residency in neurology was completed at Medical College of Virginia, and she recently relocated from Houston where she did a fellowship in Neuro-Oncology. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Society for Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Gabriel specializes in the neurologic complications of cancer, neoplastic meningitis and primary brain tumors.
Dr. Ransom-Schwaeber received her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem. She completed a neurology residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She completed a clinical neurophysiology fellowship-EEG/Epilepsy also at the same hospital. Dr. Ransom-Schwaeber has a special interest in epilepsy and women’s issues in epilepsy, but enjoys all aspects of general neurology.
