Clark College Culinary Arts Professor Larry Mains has received the 2005 Charles Altorfer Professionalism award from the Chefs de Cuisine Society of Oregon. The award was presented at the annual Chef of the Year banquet on Sept. 25 at the Portland Hilton Hotel. Mains had received this award once before, 20 years ago.
Mains was also named 2002 culinary educator of the year by the Chefs de Cuisine Society of Oregon. He has been at Clark College since 1978.
