Coldwell Banker Barbara Sue Seal Properties names Top Agent of 2006
Sharry McNeel of the Vancouver Square at the Mall office of Coldwell Banker Barbara Sue Seal Properties has been named the winner of the 2006 Top Agent Award for the Vancouver/Portland area offices. McNeel has consistently been in the top one percent of Coldwell Properties in the Northwest and nationally since 1998. She has been number one Realtor in Southwest Washington for Coldwell Banker in 2001, 2002 and 2006. She is also a member of the Coldwell Banker International President’s Premier Group, Washington Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. A graduate of UCLA and a former president of CEO Banking, McNeel has been in real estate for nine years.
iQ Credit Union adds services

Local firm names new associate
Pam Gates has been named an associate of Architects Barrentine.Bates.Lee AIA. Gates has been with the firm since 1995. She graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She now holds an architecture degree from California College of Arts and Crafts.
Emil Fries Piano Hospital names new board member
John McDonagh, publisher of the Vancouver Business Journal, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Emil Fries Piano Hospital and Training Center, also known as the School of Piano Technology for the Blind. McDonagh also serves on the boards of the Columbia River Economic Development Council, the Vancouver Civil Service Commission, the Edward R. Murrow School of Communications at WSU Pullman and Share.
Cowlitz Bank adds SVP
Lynda Larrabee has been promoted to senior vice president of administration for Cowlitz Bank, the parent company of Bay Bank and Bay Mortgage. Larrabee serves as corporate secretary as well as overseeing marketing, investor relations, internal audit and human resources.
International Air and Hospitality Academy adds baking arts course
Chef Cherif Khazem has joined the International Air and Hospitality Academy as the new baking arts course instructor. He will be working at the International Air Academy as well as The Restaurant at the Historic Reserve. Khazem brings experience from around the globe including restaurants in Paris, London and Brussels. He worked for the Hotel de France in Minneapolis and has owned his own bakeries. Khazem trained for 25 weeks with the Cordon Bleu Chefs from London, Paris and Ottawa before joining Brown College in Minneapolis where he taught the Cordon Bleu course.
Schlecht Construction hires estimator and project manager
Randy Sundberg has joined Schlecht Construction as an estimator and project manager. Sundberg is the former owner of Sundberg Construction where he focused on residential custom homes and remodels. Sundberg received a bachelor’s degree in social work in 1976 from Lower Columbia College and Pacific Lutheran University. After he served as youth director at Calvary Community Church in Longview for three years, he enrolled in the carpenter’s apprentice program. He began Sundberg Construction in 1986.
Olson Engineering names two principals
Peter Tuck and Chris Wonderly have been named principal engineers at Olson Engineering Inc. Tuck has been an engineering supervisor at Olson Engineering since 1994. He has been named principal in charge of engineering. He earned his civil engineering degree from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia.
Since joining the firm in 1994, Wonderly has served as engineering manager. He earned his engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines and his Master of Science in civil engineering from Portland State University.
Coldwell Banker Commercial hires two, launches division
Greg Goforth and Eric Clayton have joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Jenkins-Bernhardt Associates. Goforth brings 21 years of hospitality experience and will work in hospitality sales opening Coldwell Banker Commercial’s hotel sales division. Clayton joined the company as a junior agent, he is now an industrial sales and leasing assistant.
Sports Medicine opens new office
Sports Medicine Northwest has opened a new clinic in Vancouver and assigned Dr. Kevin Murphy to staff it. Murphy is a board eligible orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. He is currently an assistant team physician for the Portland Timbers professional soccer team and provides orthopedic care at the Nike Sports Medicine Clinic. He also provides orthopaedic support for several local high schools. The new office is located at 805 Broadway St., Suite 130 in Vancouver.
