Bank of Clark County hires VPs
Robert Johnson has joined Bank of Clark County as vice president and commercial lending officer with their health care banking team. Johnson brings 21 years of banking experience in commercial lending and branch management. He also has extensive experience in Float Home Lending. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Oregon and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.
John Ludwig has been appointed vice president and commercial loan business development officer with the bank’s health care banking team. Ludwig joins Bank of Clark County with 30 years of medical sales and sales management experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Southern California.
WSU Vancouver names director of campus and regional development
Jennifer Crooks has been named director of campus and regional development at Washington State University Vancouver. Crooks served as assistant director for campus and regional development for three years and as development coordinator before that. She has been with WSU Vancouver since 1998.
iQ Credit Union promotes three
Edward Turk has been named vice president of lending, Betsy Arfmann has been named compliance officer and Bradley W. Wood has been named information systems department manager for iQ Credit Union. Turk has been with iQ Credit union for 10 years and has 15 years of experience in finance and lending. Most recently, he was the credit union’s assistant vice president of lending. Arfmann has been with the credit union for 18 years and most recently served as operations manager. Wood has been with the credit union for six years, most recently serving as network administrator.
Parks Foundation names executive director
Cheri Cole has been named executive director of the Parks Foundation. Cole brings experience with the Clark College Foundation where she worked for seven years and served as director of alumni relations and the Penguin Athletic Club. Prior to that, she served as director of community education for the Ridgefield School District. Cole is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Clark County.
Riverview appoints board director, investment consultant
Jerry Olson, president and CEO of Olson Engineering Inc., has been appointed to the board of directors for Riverview Community Bank and Riverview Bancorp. Olson is a graduate of Oregon State University with a master’s degree in forest management. He is a Professional Engineer, Professional Land Surveyor and Certified Forester.
Blaine Peterson has been appointed investment consultant for Riverview Investment Services. Peterson is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor.
US Bank SBA Division names business development officer
Tim Wildman has joined the US Bank Small Business Administration Division for Southwest Washington and Oregon as a business development officer and lender. Wildman has more than seven years of banking experience. Before joining the SBA Division, he was a business banking officer and branch manager for US Bank.
GVCC appoints public affairs committee chair
Carmen Villarma, president and owner of The Management Group Inc., was appointed as chairman of the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce public affairs committee. Villarma also serves on the board of First Independent and is the chair-elect for the GVCC. She was appointed late last year to Gov. Chris Gregoire’s Washington Economic Development Finance Authority board of directors.
First Independent hires branch team leader, RE asset manager
Chris Kiefer joins First Independent as branch team leader of its Minnehaha office. Kiefer brings an extensive background in retail management including leadership roles with Mikasa, The Gap and Hallmark.
Cliff Gibbs has joined First Independent as a real estate asset manager to oversee properties owned by the bank and its founding families. Gibbs has more than 25 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate management for such companies as Grubb & Ellis, Capital Consultants and Equitable Real Estate.

Clark College names director of grants development
Katharine Brokaw has been named director of grants development at Clark College. Previously she had served as interim director. Her prior experience includes working as director of development and annual giving at the Florida Community College, as director of development at the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens in Jacksonville, Fla. and the Center for Excellence in Education in Vienna, Va.
