Bank of Clark County names president and COO
Kim Capeloto has been promoted to president and chief operating officer at Bank of Clark County. Capeloto was among the earliest team members at the bank and has overseen its growth to its current size of $345 million in assets in eight years. He has more than 20 years of banking experience with an extensive background in the financial arena. Prior to joining the Bank, Capeloto served as regional manager for Union Bank of California in Seattle directing their small business and personal banking activities in Washington State. He was also district manager at Wells Fargo Bank responsible for 28 branch offices and has experience as a controller and sales manager for a West Coast retail clothing chain.
Port of Camas-Washougal names director of finance
Kim Maloney has joined the Port of Camas-Washougal as the director of finance. Previously, Maloney was the director of business services for the Washougal School District. She received her Bachelor of Science in administrative management from Central Washington University.
Soundbuilt Homes chooses representing agent
Joe Cottrell of Remax Equity Group has been chosen to represent Soundbuilt Homes in Vancouver. Cottrell has 13 years of real estate experience. He specializes in land development and new home construction.
BIA names special events director
Ericka Carlsen has joined the Building Industry Association of Clark County as special events director. She is a native of Vancouver and received her degree in business from the University of Washington. Prior to joining the BIA, she was a buyer for Nordstrom in Seattle.
Port of Longview Commissioner retires
Port of Longview Commissioner Larry Larson, the longest serving longshore commissioner in the history of the West Coast, has announced his retirement. He was appointed in June of 1978 and has served the Port of Longview for 29 years as a port commissioner. He also worked as a registered longshoreman for more than 40 years.
Bank of Clark County names senior VP
Michael G. Cochran has joined the Bank of Clark County as senior vice president. He primarily will oversee the bank’s efforts to establish and expand its presence in East Clark County. Cochran previously worked as senior vice president and team leader in commercial lending at a local financial institution. He has more than 34 years of financial experience and holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from the University of Washington and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.
Free Clinic welcomes dental program coordinator
Fran McNa has been selected as the dental program coordinator for the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington. McNa brings experience in managing dental clinics and programs in the community. She previously worked for 14 years with Kaiser Permanente and most recently managed an internal medicine clinic in Redmond, Ore.
Washington School for the Blind Foundation names executive director
Barbara Sheldon has been selected to serve as the executive director for the Washington School for the Blind Foundation. She has served as the executive director for Silver Buckle Youth Equestrian Center, general manager for the Vancouver Business Journal and as an executive manager for Target Corp.
Riverview names SVP
Richard Michalek has been promoted to senior vice president and business and professional banking manager at Riverview Community Bank. Michalek has more than 30 years of banking experience. He has been with Riverview’s commercial lending department since 2001. Michalek holds a Master of Business Administration from Seattle University and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.

Clarice Turner – Papa Murphy’s appoints president and COO
Clarice Turner has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Papa Murphy’s International. Turner previously served 16 years in a variety of executive management positions with Yum! Brands and its subsidiary Taco Bell Corp. Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in geology and a Master of Business Administration from San Francisco State University.
Sheri Jensen – Prosecutor’s Office appoints administrator
Sheri Jensen has been appointed administrator of Clark County Prosecutor Art Curtis’ office. Jensen will supervise a support staff of 55 employees and dealing with human resources and personnel issues. Jensen has been a Clark County employee for the past 18 years working in the Community Development, Public Works and General Services departments.
Larry Paulson – Local executive director appointed to Governor’s Climate Advisory Team
The Port of Vancouver Executive Director Larry Paulson has been appointed to Gov. Chris Gregoire’s Climate Advisory Team. Paulson is the only representative of the ports on the 21-person panel, and the only Southwest Washington member.
Daniel Morell, Brandon Erickson – Roggenkamp Erickson & Assoc. hires one, announces licensure
Daniel Morell has joined Roggenkamp Erickson and Assoc. as a project engineer. He brings more than 10 years of experience in the consulting structural engineering industry.
Brandon Erickson, principal of REA, has obtained licensure as a structural engineer in the state of Hawaii.
Hopper Dennis Jellison adds four
Nicholas Richards, Nichollete Pullen, Robert Kelley, and Brent Sullivan have joined Hopper Dennis Jellison PLLC. Richards is a graduate of Oregon State University. He will start work as an Engineer I in the transportation section. Pullen graduated from the University of Portland and will work in the residential section as an Engineer I.
Kelley will join the construction services section as Inspector II and engineering technician II. He brings a background of construction inspection experience with years of professional civil design. Sullivan is joining the site development section through the CECOP Internship program at Oregon State University. He will be working on a six month internship as an engineering trainee.

The Community Foundation honors philanthropists
The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington will honor David and Patricia Nierenberg as 2007 Philanthropists of the Year and T. Randall Grove as the 2007 Friend of the Foundation at an awards ceremony on May 1.
