Stroke center adds program coordinator
Lisa Pickens was named the new coordinator of Southwest Washington Medical Center’s Stroke Center. Pickens worked most recently at Oregon Health and Science University, and has worked as a flight nurse, heart transplant coordinator and infection control specialist. She earned a nursing degree from Texas Woman’s University and a graduate degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University.
Pickens replaces Louise Jenkins, who took a new role in SWMC’s emergency department.

Monument Builders names vice president
Joey Fuerstenberg is the new vice president of Monument Builders of North America. He plans to provide continuing education for the association’s members and increase membership numbers. Fuerstenberg, who joined his parents at Vancouver Granite Works in 1995, has 14 years of experience in the monument industry and will serve as vice president for two years.

Kennedy/Jenks names new sector leader
Engineer David Brown will head Kennedy/Jenks Consultants’ new Marine Ports Market Sector in Vancouver. Brown works with project managers and port clients, and his prior experience includes managing airport projects and designing wastewater facilities for municipal clients.

Library foundation appoints officers
Linda Thomas and Rebecca Blaisdell were appointed chair and vice chair, respectively, of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation. Thomas, senior property manager of Vancouver-based The Management Group Inc., has nearly 20 years of real estate development experience and holds an associate degree in accounting. Blaisdell, vice president of The Management Group, is a graduate of Leadership Clark County and serves as ambassador for the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce.
