RUTH BENNETT

Ruth Bennett has been named to the board of directors for Southwest Washington Health System, the parent company of Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver.

Bennett worked for the Bonneville Power Administration for more than 30 years, where she held the position of Chief Operating Officer from 2003 to 2007 before retiring and forming an independent consulting firm. As COO of the BPA, Bennett was responsible for 3,000 employees and $3.5 billion in annual revenues.

In addition to Southwest's board, she has served on the governance boards of YMCA Columbia-Willamette and First Independent Bank.

SUSAN RAWSON

The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce awarded Susan Rawson the 2009 Ambassador of the Year award in recognition of her dedication to the chamber. Rawson received the award at the chamber's Annual Dinner and Installation of Officers banquet, held on Sept. 17 at the Hilton Vancouver.

A realtor with Mountain View Properties NW in Vancouver, Rawson has been a chamber Ambassador since 2005. The award honors her commitment to the chamber for her assistance at events and her service as chair of the Membership Mentor committee.

R. BRYCE SINNER

R. Bryce Sinner has joined the law firm of Duggan, Schlotfeldt & Welch in Vancouver. Sinner was a Project Engineer with Turner Construction Company in Portland before receiving his law degree with honors in 2009 from Lewis & Clark Law School. Bryce received his B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Washington. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar.

JERRY ADCOCK

Jerry Adcock, owner of technology consulting company SDS Vancouver, Inc., recently finished an intensive 400-hour course in business intelligence and data warehousing tools, techniques and strategies. The course develops a working knowledge of SQL Server Integration, Analysis Reporting Services and Microsoft Performance Point and SharePoint Servers and includes data warehousing techniques such as Cube design. Working with SetFocus of Parsippany, N.J., Adcock completed the course in 10 weeks.

RACHEL BAUER

Washougal resident Rachel Bauer has joined Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Vancouver as the company's marketing representative. Bauer will be responsible for sharing Paul Davis Restoration's emergency mitigation, restoration and remodeling services with insurance agents, adjusters and property owners in the Portland-Vancouver area. She will also be responsible for implementing promotional campaigns, marketing presentations and professional seminars and workshops.

Previously, Bauer worked for Farmers Insurance in the property claims department. Bauer received her B.S. degree in Management from Pennsylvania State University.

MANDY LOPEZ

The Washington School for the Blind Foundation announced the addition of Mandy Lopez to the Board of Directors for a term of two years. Lopez is a vice president and cash management officer for First Independent in Vancouver and has been an active volunteer with the Foundation for the past year and a half. The Washington School for the Blind Foundation was founded in 1995.
