Leadership Clark County Names Two to Board

Leadership Clark County elected two community leaders, VaNessa Duplessie and Maija Mercer, to its 20-member board of directors last month. The board oversees the nonprofit's operations and events, in addition to its 10-month leadership training curriculum.

Duplessie, a 2005 LCC alumna, is a general partner with Ridge Partners, LLC, where she provides marketing and public relations services to companies, primarily in the data storage industry. Duplessie is also licensed in health and life insurance in both Washington and Oregon, and is certified as a social media specialist and personal development coach.

Mercer is a regional manager for Holland Residential, specializing in developing and managing multi-family communities. Headquartered in Vancouver, she oversees Oregon and Northern California regions as a property manager. Mercer is a 2006 LCC alumna. 

SIERK BRAAM

Sierk Braam has joined NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson's Vancouver office as a real estate salesperson specializing in the sales of special assets. Braam will join an existing team of brokerage professionals working with lenders on foreclosed or bank-owned properties, including subdivisions, entitled land and improved properties in the Portland-Vancouver area.

Most recently, Braam served as vice president of specialty lending and emerging markets for National City Mortgage's western division. He was responsible increasing specialty production by at least 20 percent every year.

Braam has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon, and a master's in city and regional planning from Ohio State University. He is a licensed broker in the state of Washington.

JAIME ROSS

On Nov. 3, lia sophia announced its Excellent Beginnings Program Achiever winner: Jaime Ross of Battle Ground. She was awarded the honor, which celebrates high sales and advisor recruitment, after only 15 weeks with the company.
