Jennifer Schmidt joined the Evergreen Habitat for Humanity staff as the new Communications Manager last month. Schmidt will focus on increasing public awareness, event coordination and web design.
Previously, Schmidt worked at Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. as a project handler overseeing communications and event coordination for the independent product safety company's Camas office.
Schmidt was also vice president of public relations for her local Toastmasters club and holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Humboldt State University.
MIKE WALLIN
Mike Wallin, a realtor with Prudential Northwest Properties in Longview, earned a Certified Negotiation Expert designation last week. The certification is achieved by real estate professionals who have completed formal training in negotiation.
"I had been practicing many of the principles, but until taking this training I hadn't been able to fully use some of these techniques and strategies," Wallin said.
The certification training was provided by Negotiation Expertise, LLC, a national negotiation training and coaching company.
