Fulk in as SVP/chief lending officer

Columbia Credit Union announced the hiring of Bill Fulk as the credit union's new SVP/chief lending officer on June 3. Fulk will be responsible for directing all of Columbia's mortgage, direct, indirect and member business lending activities.

"Sustainable loan growth is fundamental to Columbia's future success," said CCU president and CEO Steve Kenny. "Bill's background and experience will help [CCU] meet current lending objectives and plan for future growth and profitability." Fulk's past experience spans a 23-year-career in the financial industry in a variety of strategic and operational leadership roles. Just prior to joining CCU, he held the chief lending officer position at Elevations Credit Union, holding $927 million in assets, located in Boulder, Colo.

"Helping individuals, families and small businesses improve their financial lives is very rewarding," Fulk said. "I'm excited to help expand [CCU's] lending efforts in a way that truly benefits members."

Norm Simpson

Bryant and Associates announced last week that Norm Simpson, formally of Simpson Business Insurance in Battle Ground, had joined their agency. A 30-year insurance industry veteran, Simpson is a commercial agent specializing in business insurance and bonds. A graduate of Central Washington State University, Simpson is an active member in the Building Industry Association of Clark County and the Nationwide Contractors' Alliance. Bryant and Associates is a locally-owned independent insurance agency based in Vancouver.
