Judges appoint Kristen Parcher as District Court Commissioner
Kristen Parcher, an attorney with Vancouver Defenders, has been selected as a commissioner for Clark County District Court.
Beginning in January, Parcher will help cover the regular dockets of judges who preside over the District Court's four specialty therapeutic courts.
"Kristen believes strongly in the fair administration of justice, including the benefit of therapeutic courts," said Presiding Judge John Hagensen. "All the District Court judges feel she will be a good fit."
Parcher received her law degree from the University of Oregon's School of Law, and has practiced for six years, primarily focusing on District Court cases and indigent defense. She currently is the president of the Volunteer Lawyers Program.
Clark County District Court has therapeutic courts for substance abuse, domestic violence treatment, mental health and veterans.
