Ron Merryman appointed CEO of REDpoint International

REDpoint International, a Vancouver-based medical supply company, has named Ron Merryman its new chief executive officer.

In his new role, Merryman will be responsible for guiding REDpoint’s growth and development as it brings a portfolio of medical products to the marketplace. Meanwhile, company founder Chuck Nokes will continue as President and spearhead creation of the company’s product pipeline.

“I am very excited and honored to be invited to join Chuck and the team he has assembled,” said Merryman. “REDpoint International has a tremendous opportunity to provide simple and innovative products to improve the daily experience of patients and their caregivers. I look forward to being part
of it.”

REDpoint said Merryman brings 30 years of experience to his new position, including time served as senior vice president of finance and operations for RS Medical and for Clarity Visual Systems.

“I knew we were ready to bring on additional experience to take the company to the next level after introducing our first two products over the past three years with minimal outside capital,” said Nokes, adding, “Ron embodies the spirit and culture of what we are about as a company, and he brings the expertise that will make us a healthy long-term business and a strong supplier in the medical device field.”

Vancouver accounting firm Schiller & Company PC recently announced the hiring of Jeremy Lewallen as a Certifed Public Accountant.

Lewallen specializes in tax and consulting services with an emphasis in real estate for small and medium-sized business, the firm said. He has experience in private industry and public accounting, serving in various financial capacities since 2005.

Local music teacher and community advocate Jessica Kelly has been selected as the new 2011-2012 president of the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools Board of Directors (FVPS).

Joining the foundation as new board members are Vaughn Lein (LSW Architects PC), Brad Bauges (Columbia Credit Union) and Charles Isely (Christel & Isely LLP).

FVPS provides funds for basic needs, enrichment and mentoring programs. Additionally, it administers donor-advised funds including scholarships.

MARGARET ROGERS

Margaret Rogers of Davidson Insurance has received her Property and Casualty insurance agent’s license from the State of Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner, the company announced.

Rogers, who attended Portland State University, provides administrative services at Davidson.
