Lowe is a member of the executive committee of the Columbia River Economic Development Council and is the chair of Identity Clark County Board of Directors. Most recently, she joined the Humane Society for Southwest Washington Board of Directors and is chair of its Planned Giving Committee.

Lowe focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, business succession planning, and trust and estate administration.

Kurt Rylander, managing attorney of the intellectual property and business firm Rylander & Associates PC in Vancouver, recently completed the Intellectual Property and Business Strategy Program at Harvard Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

As part of the program, Rylander was taught by some of the top intellectual property strategists in the country, sharing experiences with industry leaders and intellectual property department heads from Fortune Global 500 companies.

The National School Boards Association (NSBA)’s Technology Leadership Network (TLN) has named Vancouver Public Schools administrator Lisa Greseth to its “20 to Watch” honor roll for 2011-2012.

“The ‘20 to Watch’ honorees are role models to advance student achievement with the use of technology in education,” explained Ann Flynn, NSBA’s director of education technology. “Their accomplishments provide real world examples for school leaders and board members to examine as they debate the best electronic tools and strategies to positively impact learning and address the growing digital divide.” 

Greseth is manager of information and instructional technology for Vancouver Public Schools. She is the only Pacific Northwest educator selected for this year’s list.

Otak Inc., an award-winning urban design, architecture, planning and engineering firm with offices in four states including Washington and Oregon, recently announced the hiring of Kurt Creager as housing & community development director.

Creager has more than 30 years of experience working with policy, program and project implementation. In recent years, he has focused on place making and community building through mixed-income and mixed-use development projects in the Seattle, Portland/Vancouver, Phoenix and Los Angeles areas.

In the public sector, Creager spent 15 years as CEO of the Vancouver Housing Authority. During that time, he produced more than 3,500 dwellings in Southwest Washington. Creager also served as the chief of housing and economic development for Metropolitan King County in Seattle.

Andrea Bruno has joined the American Diabetes Association (ADA) as executive director for Oregon, Southwest Washington and Southern Idaho.

Bruno brings more than 18 years of nonprofit leadership experience to her new role, the organization said. She comes to the ADA from Loaves & Fishes Centers Inc., in Portland, where she served as chief development officer. Prior to that, Bruno served as VP for advancement at the Concordia University Foundation in Portland, and state director of development for the Oregon Chapter of the March of Dimes.

Bruno holds a bachelor of arts in communications with a minor in marketing from Whitworth University in Spokane.

Vancouver-based law firm Landerholm P.S. recently announced the addition of two new attorneys: Marshall Stagg and Timothy Calderbank.

Stagg joins Landerholm as an associate. The focus of his practice includes estate planning for business owners, post-death administration of trusts and estates, and federal taxation. Marshall is also a Washington Certified Public Accountant.
