The Vancouver Business Journal’s 2006 Top Projects event was held at the nearly completed Big Al’s bowling facility in east Vancouver on Thursday, July 20. The project ranked 10th among Clark County’s 25 top projects. Big Al’s will feature 42 lanes of bowling, a 6,500-square-foot sports bar and grill and a video arcade. The $9 million facility on 18th Street just east of 164th Avenue is expected to be completed in September. Future plans for the 15-acre Eastside Spectrum development owned by Al and Sandy Kirkwood include additional retail and restaurant space plus a four-story, 80-room hotel. Included in this issue is a copy of the 2006 Top Projects magazine.
