Rebound Orthopedics and Neurosurgery welcomes new sports medicine specialist

Evan D. Ellis, a board certified orthopedic surgeon with sub-specialty interest in knee, shoulder and sports medicine, has joined the team at Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery.

Previously, he was a member of the medical staff for the St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Blues professional
sports teams.

Ellis performed his undergraduate training at the Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was an Academic All-American basketball player. After obtaining his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School, he completed his internship and residency training at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Phil Wuest has joined the law firm of Duggan Schlotfeldt & Welch PLLC.

Wuest brings extensive experience in planning, land use and development from his former position as transportation program development manager for the city of Vancouver, the firm said. In his new role, he will focus on land use, zoning entitlement, real property, construction and litigation claims.

Wuest received an undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University, a master of urban studies degree from Portland State University and a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law.

Effective Web Solutions has announced that Paul Nate has been promoted to vice president of operations.

Previously, Nate served as a Digital Strategist for the Vancouver-based internet marketing company.

Bryce Davidson has joined Davidson Insurance of Vancouver as an insurance agent.

In his new role, Davidson will provide insurance services for businesses and individuals. He previously worked as a manager at Ernst and Young in San Francisco for nearly eight years.

Davidson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Santa Clara University.

Jaima Johnson is now the builder development services representative for both Chicago Title and Fidelity National Title Company.

Johnson has been in the local title business for more than 18 years and received a bachelor of science degree from Washington State University.

Alpine Mortgage Planning (AMP) recently announced the hiring of Dori Saban to serve as production manager of its east Vancouver branch, located at 2005 SE 192nd Ave., Suite 200, in Camas.

The regional mortgage company also operates a Salmon Creek location at 2501 NE 134th St, Suite 300.

Devereaux Dion has joined Portland’s Loaves & Fishes Center as chief development officer.

Previously, Dion served as gift planning manager with Community Home Health & Hospice in Southwest Washington. He has also been a consultant for international companies and co-owner of the consulting firm Mantis Inc.

Todd MattMATT TODD

Entek sales and engineering manager Matt Todd is a founding board member of a new national Building Performance Council (BPC) formed this month. Todd is joined by eleven other mechanical contractors from Texas, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Virginia and Georgia.

The council will serve under the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), the nation’s largest organization of indoor environment and energy services contracting businesses.

Todd said the council is responsible for developing consistent training standards as well as for developing accreditation standards surrounding existing home evaluations and performance improvements for the building industry.

West Coast Bank’s government guaranteed lending department has appointed Scott Faunt vice president-relationship manager at their downtown Vancouver office.

In his new role, Faunt will help small business owners finance loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration and other government loan programs, the bank said.

Most recently, Faunt worked for Umpqua Bank as vice president, credit solutions manager. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor of science degree in finance.

“Scott’s 30-plus years of commercial banking and lending experience in the Portland-Vancouver region make him a good fit for the bank and our small business customers,” said Xandra McKeown, West Coast Bank executive vice president of commercial banking.

HAZEL DELL LIONS

Roxie Olson, chair of Clark County Walk N Knock Food Drive, was recently installed as president of the 2012-2013 Hazel Dell Lions at the club’s annual banquet on June 20.

Other elected officers include:

Larry Hansen, first vice president; Leslie Schlitt, second vice president; Kathy Nelsen, third vice president; Ryan Morrison, secretary; Janet Cantrell, treasurer; Dan Kirk, tail twister; Jeff Fish, lion tamer; Dorene Hall, membership; and Doug Hall, retention. Jim Johnston, Bill Lundin and Linda Lundin make up the board
of directors.

The Hazel Dell Lions serve the greater Vancouver/Hazel Dell community, and will celebrate their 50th Anniversary next spring.
