Port of Vancouver hires Jeff Estuesta as director of finance and accounting

The Port of Vancouver recently welcomed Jeff Estuesta as director of finance and accounting. His responsibilities include developing and implementing financial policies, short- and long-range planning and assessing impacts on the port’s overall financial position. Estuesta also analyzes business operations and supervises the accounting staff.

Prior to joining the port, Estuesta was a financial consultant for various local and international companies. He also spent six years as CEO/CFO for Kentrox, Inc., a worldwide provider of intelligent site-management solutions for computer networks.

Estuesta has more than 22 years of experience as a financial manager and has been employed with companies such as Gage Industries, Cray Research/Sun Microsystems and Tektronix, among others.

“Jeff brings a wealth of talent and experience to what is already a strong port leadership team,” said Todd Coleman, the port’s executive director.

Movers Tim BretzTim Bretz

Timothy G. Bretz, P.E., recently joined HDJ Design Group as the firm’s third principal. Bretz will serve as an operations principal at HDJ in the firm’s Pasco office.

Bretz brings over 30 years of civil-engineering and construction experience to HDJ with a strong background in residential and commercial development, public works, construction management and surveying. He previously served as a senior professional on both land-development and public-works projects from initial conceptual planning through design, permitting and construction with clients in city, county, state and federal governments.

Bretz has extensive expertise in both project-development finance and construction law. He is a licensed contractor in western states, holds a master’s in business administration from Pepperdine University and is a Fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers.
