Tod Heiles

Vancouver-based engineering and consulting firm Sigma Design recently announced a pair of new hires: Tod Heiles as a sensors engineer and Norman Pedersen as a mechanical engineer.

Heiles will be responsible for product engineering and development. He has nearly 30 years of engineering experience and more than 15 patents to his name. His experience includes developing carriage subsystems, robotic placement cell vision system optics, calibration tools and part gripping/feeding for printing products.

In his new role, Pedersen will be responsible for product engineering and design. He joins Sigma Design with nearly 30 years of experience in the design and engineering industry. He gained this experience by designing unique laser trimming solutions and also designing/building manufacturing solutions for passive component and semiconductor customers in the LED/MLCC testing industry.

Columbia Collectors Inc., a Vancouver-based licensed collection agency, has announced that Ryan Wiswall, a third generation member of the company, has taken the position of vice president.

The firm said Wiswall will continue the prestige level of customer service practiced by his grandfather, company founder Robert Wiswall, and subsequently continued by his father, current president Ed Wiswall. He will also continue to advance the company by implementing new technologies and customer-centered tools.

Additionally, Wiswall has brought Polina Senchilo on board with the company, as its new account executive. In her new role, Senchilo will focus on customer relations and new marketing ideas for the company.

Northwest Healthcare Inc. recently announced the hiring of Tammy Haas as its director of operations.

Haas joins the Vancouver-based senior care agency with expertise in business strategy and management. The company said her dedication to customer service, coupled with her knowledge of senior services, will assure the future of the agency as it continues to address the needs of seniors in the community.

Haas is a member and current president of the Lewis River Rotary Club in Battle Ground and is involved in a number of community efforts.
