Christiansen moved from Amboy into the port’s 10,500-square-foot facility last month. The company provides kilns, parts and comprehensive on-site services for some of the nation’s largest forest products companies.
“Port of Kalama offers us an ideal location to both serve our customers in the forest products industry, and the port staff are about as supportive and helpful as you can get – welcoming us, and helping with our growth and transition in ways we couldn’t have expected,” said Joe Christiansen, owner of Christiansen Enterprises, in a press release. “Kalama’s place on both the Columbia River and Kalama River is a real draw for us as life-long fishermen and lovers of the great outdoors. It’s ideal.”
