East Fork Cellars recently opened for business at the historic Slocum House in Vancouver’s Esther Short Park.
The business features wine tastings and sales as well as an art gallery that has been added to the city’s First Friday Artwalk route. Plans are now in the works to open an indoor movie theater featuring classic Hollywood movies and works by local independent filmmakers.
“We want to encourage our community to embrace local wineries by showcasing the best of what Clark County and Washington has to offer,” said East Fork Cellars founder and Columbia Plains Holdings President Jeff Waddell. “Vancouver’s downtown area has become a vibrant hub of activity and we are excited to be part of it.”
East Fork Cellars had a soft opening in August, and are currently open from noon to 8 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. They plan to be open daily from noon to 8 p.m. starting next month.
The Slocum House is located at 605 Esther St.
