On behalf of McDonagh, Safeco Insurance will donate $5,000 to Share, a nonprofit founded with the goal of caring for the homeless and hungry in the greater Vancouver area.
“We are delighted that John is being recognized for the significant impact he has made on the community by working to support nonprofits and local causes for almost 40 years,” said Diane McWithey, executive director of Share.
Community members have the opportunity to raise an additional $10,000 for Share by voting for McDonagh online at www.safeco.com/about-safeco/community/community-hero-vote.
Safeco Community Heroes are chosen from nominations submitted by local Safeco agents across the country through the Safeco Insurance Agent Giving Program, which is designed to recognize people and organizations that positively impact their communities through a focus on education, health and safety or civic engagement.
