The restaurant, owned by Chef Paul Klitsie, will specialize in Northwest cuisine with strong Italian and French influences. Klitsie plans to source from the state of Washington, using local and regional ingredients in his cuisine.
Klitsie, a Vancouver resident, is best known for his restaurant Fratelli, an Italian-inspired eatery located in Portland’s Pearl District.
“Opening Willem’s on Main is the ideal opportunity for me to bring the food quality and preparation that Portland is known for locally, regionally and nationally across the river to both the heart of downtown Vancouver and along the I-5 corridor,” said Klitsie.
Willem’s on Main will serve lunch on Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays, and dinner and Happy Hour Thursdays through Mondays.
