The commission advises the Board of County Commissioners and Vancouver City Council on cable television and telecommunications issues. It makes reports, monitors compliance and establishes rules and regulations regarding cable television and telecommunications. The commission also serves as an advisory body during franchise renewal negotiations with Comcast Cable.
Meetings are quarterly on first Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall, 415 W. 6th St.
Applicants for the appointment must be county residents. The term is for three years, and will begin in July. The position is voluntary.
