Representatives from the Columbia River Economic Development Council (CREDC) have returned from a recent trip to Singapore in an effort to support the growing composites industry in Clark County.
The highlight of the trip was the JEC Asia Composites Show and Conferences, held November 17-19th. The international exhibition is recognized as the only event in the Asia-Pacific region that brings together all of the major players in the global composites industry value chain.
“The JEC show was very successful for our team on several fronts,” said Mike Bomar, CREDC president. “We made excellent targeted business connections, learned what is needed to be a competitive community for the growing composites industry, and collected relevant information and contacts for our educational and workforce partners interested in developing our local talent pool.”
While in Singapore, the CREDC team participated in a number of business meetings to support supply chain connections and relocation opportunities. Representatives also toured Singapore Composites and attended several seminars.
