Current job: Owner, Catworks Construction
Proudest professional moment: Being awarded the 2012 SBA Minority Small Business Person of the Year, Portland District. It has been amazing to watch the growth of our organization. I was humbled to receive such a great award, but I truly owe the success of the organization to the employees and God. Without them, none of this would be possible.
First job: Shoe sales at Nevada Bob’s Discount Golf Ski and Tennis, Las Vegas, NV. It was a great job for me and I was able to utilize my people skills early on working with people from all walks of life. I held many other sales jobs early on, even selling bicycles, which is certainly a passion of mine.
Fun fact: I am slightly OCD and I feel you can never have too many bikes! I rode a century this year (100 miles within 12 hours) and would like to do a double century in 2015.
Favorite spot on a Saturday night: My house with friends and family.
Favorite movie: The Departed
Music of choice: I love all kinds of music, but I enjoy the stuff that touches the soul most.
Favorite place to eat: My Kitchen, my friends call me “The Meat Guy.” I have a lot of fun preparing meals for my friends and family and watching them enjoy. If you can get it to my grill, I will do my best to make it great! I don’t employ the use of a “Traeger.” I’d much rather use real wood.
