MEGAN DIXON
The Clark County Food Bank has hired Megan Dixon to lead fundraising efforts as the nonprofit’s director of development.
A graduate of WSU Vancouver, Dixon brings eight years of experience as a development professional working with local social service agencies such as YWCA Clark County and Second Step Housing. Most recently, she spent a year at The Idaho Foodbank securing grants to support hunger relief throughout the state of Idaho.
“Megan brings great familiarity with our community, but even more importantly a passion to help address our pressing hunger needs,” said Alan Hamilton, Clark County Food Bank executive director.
Dixon’s responsibilities will include fundraising, event planning and donor relations.
ROY HEIKKALA
Roy Heikkala has been appointed as a commissioner for the Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) by Vancouver Mayor Timothy Leavitt. Heikkala replaces Ron Kawamoto, who retired from the VHA board in October.
Heikkala, owner of Rite Menter Investments Inc., was born and raised in Vancouver. His company provides development consulting and project management services.
He has a 40-year background in commercial, industrial and residential construction as a general contractor, project manager and as a development consultant. Additionally, he has served on the Vancouver Planning Commission, the Parks Foundation of Clark County, the Vancouver Clark Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission and the Hough Foundation.
Heikkala is a graduate of University of Portland, with a bachelor of arts degree in Finance. He received his master of business administration degree from Portland State University, with an emphasis in finance and real estate.
The VHA manages the federally-subsidized Low-Rent Public Housing and Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher programs in Vancouver and Clark County, serving more than 3,000 households. VHA also owns and/or manages more than 2,600 units of affordable housing throughout Clark County.

Calderbank and Andersen are both experienced litigators representing clients in a variety of matters including business, construction and real estate. Stagg focuses his practice in the areas of taxation, business law and estate planning and administration.
Additionally, the firm announced the hiring of George J. Souris and Laura S. Nelson as associates.
Souris’ practice encompasses all aspects of the litigation process with emphasis on the areas of estate/probate, contractual issues and real estate, construction and employment disputes. Nelson’s practice is in probate and trust administration, estate planning and guardianships.
