The National Women’s Coalition Against Violence & Exploitation (NWCAVE) will honor Linda Reid with the Rita Corbin Burns Humanitarian Award on Monday, September 23, 2024 at their Annual Community Impact Reception (free and open to the public – 5:30p.m. at Umpqua Bank 6th and Main).
The award is named after NWCAVE’s co-founding advisor Rita Burns, who lost her long battle from cancer in 2013. “The honoree of the award is recognized for his/her ability to positively impact and influence the lives of others, regardless their own personal challenges,” said Kami Corbin-Schroeder, Burns’ niece. “My aunt would have been so proud of Linda’s efforts to make a difference in the world.”
