Yost praised Lone Wolf’s vision for building with sustainability in mind. She also commented on the company’s ability to successfully attract new tenants to the area.
“With new businesses coming in now in the same building as OurBar, there is more foot traffic and a feeling of forward momentum,” Yost said. “We took a big risk coming out here instead of settling ourselves somewhere in Portland where it might have been easier to get started, but we feel it’s worth the risk. [Washougal] is definitely still in the developing phase, but I think the payoff in the long run will be a lot better.”
Adam Taylor, a spokesman for Lone Wolf Development, said he has high hopes for the new eatery, which will be located across the street from soon-to-open Amnesia Brewing.
“[Yost and Credelle] are ingraining themselves in the local business community. They are committed to revitalization movement,” Taylor said. “[OurBar] will provide a dining experience that you won’t get at Amnesia and I think that the two businesses will complement each other really well.”
Taylor credited Washougal’s development to a trend of upwardly mobile families who are attracted to the area’s inexpensive real estate, quality schools and the overall beauty.
“Our goal is to grow with the town, becoming a fixture and a catalyst for further community prosperity,” Credelle added.
OurBar will serve breakfast and lunch. Beginning this summer, dinner will also be served four nights a week.
