IDEA Health and Fitness names program directors of the year
Alex McMillan and Sherri McMillan, MSc, have been named Program Directors of the Year by IDEA Health and Fitness Association. This award recognizes individuals whose outstanding leadership, professional commitment and community and industry involvement has inspired others to commit to a healthy lifestyle through successful, creative and diverse programming. The McMillans own and operate Northwest Personal Training and Fitness Education with two locations, one in Vancouver and a newly opened studio in Portland. The Vancouver facility, a 5,000-square-foot state-of-the-art personal training studio, opened in 2003 and has been flourishing ever since. As recipients of the Program Directors of the Year award, the McMillans will serve as IDEA spokespersons on issues related to fitness programming. They are also profiled in the July/August 2006 issue of the IDEA Fitness Journal.
