Miller Nash announces new partner
Steve Turner has been made a partner in the Vancouver office of Miller Nash. Turner joined the company in 2002 with extensive experience in commercial, real estate and tax litigation as well as constitutional, wrongful death and products liability disputes. He has taken many cases through trial in state court, in federal court and in arbitration, and he has been involved in many mediations. Turner has also argued many appellate matters in Washington, California and the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and his law degree from New York University School of Law. He was awarded the honor of Order of the Coif and received the American Jurisprudence Award for Contracts and Advocacy of Civil Claims.
Council for the Homeless hires new E.D.
Mark F. Baum has been named the new executive director of the Council for the Homeless.
Baum was a founder and partner in Baum, Etengoff and Buckley, a diversified legal practice encompassing criminal defense, civil litigation, business, family and real estate law in Vancouver.
Baum is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo and the Gonzaga University School of Law. He has held positions with the Washington State Bar, Clark County Superior Court, Vancouver School District and SHARE, and been an active member of the Voter Protection Project, Center for Civic Education, and Southern Poverty Law Center.
New Edge Networks appoints VP of finance
Geraldine Williams has been appointed vice president of finance at New Edge Networks. Prior to joining the company, she was first vice president and division finance officer for Washington Mutual in Seattle. For the 10 years prior to Washington Mutual, Williams held executive and managerial level positions with Cingular Wireless, formerly AT&T Wireless Services, also in Seattle. She began her business career as an auditor with Ernst & Young in Los Angeles. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University. She earned an MBA in finance from the University of Pennsylvania.
Columbia Title adds business developer
Mandy Swanson has joined Columbia Title of Vancouver as a business developer in their marketing department. Swanson received her master’s degree in business from Oregon State University.
Riverview names VP and branch manager
Greg Jurna has been appointed to vice president and commercial loan officer in Riverview’s Vancouver Financial Center. Jurna holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Portland State University and has more than 10 years of experience in local business banking.
Connie Hladek has been named assistant vice president and branch manager of Riverview’s Longview office. She brings more than 30 years of local retail banking, operations and lending experience.
Bank of Clark County welcomes project analyst
Cirith Sebree has joined the Bank of Clark County as a project analyst in the finance department. She brings experience working with market trend analysis and strong attention to detail from her work with Affinity Card Systems where she was vice president of operations. Sebree earned a Bachelor of Arts at Willamette University with dual majors in Russian and international studies.
Countrywide Home Loans adds branch manager
Cheryl Bolin has joined Countrywide Home Loans as branch manager of its Vancouver office. Bolin will oversee the administration of the branch and be responsible for originating home loans and providing qualified borrowers with viable mortgage solutions.
Mark Meussner, Pat Warner
Nautilus Inc. promotes two
Mark Meussner has been promoted to senior vice president of manufacturing, quality and engineering and Pat Warner has been promoted to a new position in technology leadership at Nautilus.
Meussner previously worked as vice president of domestic manufacturing overseeing two facilities, the closure of a third and leading a sustaining engineering initiative. He joined the company in 2005 as manager of the Tulsa, Okla., cardiovascular equipment facility. Warner will assume a business development role. He has been working at the forefront of new innovations.

Port of Woodland hires port auditor
Carol Moore has joined the Port of Woodland as port auditor. Moore previously worked at the Woodland Oak Tree as an office manager and bookkeeper since 2002. She is also the past president of the Woodland PTSA and past coordinator of the Woodland PTSA Art Festival.
Hopper Dennis Jellison adds staff
Andrew Nuttbrock, Mitch Giesbers, Natalie Morgan, Jenna Straub and Shelly Nieman have joined Hopper Dennis Jellison. Nuttbrock will replace Stacey Shields as planning manager in the land use planning department. Giesbers is the newest CAD technician. He is a graduate of ITT Technical Institute and brings 15 years of drafting experience to the company. Morgan is the engineering assistant. Straub joins the staff as receptionist/administrative assistant, and Nieman has been added as a bookkeeper.
