Riverview adds three

Riverview Community Bank has hired Monte Silliman as senior vice president and manager of Riverview’s East Vancouver Commercial Banking Group. Terry Metz and Michael Bell have joined the bank as vice presidents and commercial loan officers. Metz will work at the East Vancouver location. Bell will work downtown Vancouver in commercial banking.

Silliman has been serving the retail, medical and construction industries as a commercial banker for more than 20 years, most recently at a Vancouver-based bank. A graduate of Central Washington University, he is on the Columbia River Economic Development Council and serves as treasurer for Innovative Services Northwest.

Bell is a graduate of Western Washington University and volunteers with the Camas School District.

Metz brings 30 years of related experience.

Jon Hegar

Nutter adds estimator

Jon Hegar has joined Nutter Corp. as an estimator in a newly created position. Hegar brings fifteen years of estimating experience and has successfully bid two city of Vancouver projects since joining the company.

Hegar previously worked with Portland Road and Driveway and Vulcan Engineering and is a graduate of the Industrial Automation with Hydraulics and Pneumatic Technologies program at Mt. Hood Community College.

Keith Upkes Consulting adds accountant

Camas-based Keith Upkes Consulting has hired accountant Kandi Peto.

Peto has 12 years professional accounting experience. She worked in California as a full-charge bookkeeper and staff accountant.

Sam Adams

Berger/Abam hires project manager

Sam Adams has joined the Vancouver office of Berger/Abam Engineers Inc. as senior project manager. Adams will expand the engineering capabilities of the firm in Southwest Washington and focus on transportation projects.

Previously, Adams was the public works director for the city of Battle Ground and the city of Kelso.

Adams received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Idaho and is a registered civil engineer in Washington. He is the past president of the Southwest Washington branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Roger Allen

Port of Longview appoints new commissioner

Roger Allen has been appointed to the Port of Longview Commission.

Allen has served on the boards of the Lower Columbia College Foundation Board, the Cowlitz County Association of Realtors and the Cowlitz Economic Development Council Board of Directors.

He has lived in Longview for 45 years and recently sold his real estate company, Allen & Assoc.

DeWayne Ledbetter

iQ Credit Union names controller

iQ Credit Union has promoted DeWayne Ledbetter to controller, a newly created position.

Ledbetter has been with the credit union for nine months, previously as financial analyst. As controller, Ledbetter will oversee auditors and examiners and supervise regulatory compliance. Ledbetter is a CPA, licensed in Oregon.

Tammy Weisman

Alan Webb names events coordinator

Alan Webb Auto Group has named Tammy Weisman events coordinator, a newly created position.

Weisman is a native of Vancouver and received her degree in psychology and business administration from Washington State University. Prior to joining Alan Webb Automotive, she was membership services and events coordinator for the Building Industry Association of Clark County.

Tamara Pegel

First Independent names mall branch manager

Tamara Pegel has been named branch team leader at the Vancouver Mall branch of First Independent.

Specializing in business development for the Van Mall area, Pegel joined First Independent in September 2006 as a management trainee.

Pegel previously was lead personal banker for Baker Boyer National Bank in Walla Walla. She has recently joined the board of the Clark County Family YMCA.

Veronika Noize

Vancouver consultant named top coach

The NW Coaches Association named Immediate Past President Veronika Noize the chapter’s inaugural Coach of the Year. Noize served the NWCA as chapter president in 2006, president elect in 2005, and was the chapter marketing director from 2001 through 2005. A marketing coach in private practice in Vancouver and author of two books, Noize also is a trainer for Australia’s International Coach Academy.

Brian Stewart

CCFD 11 hires training captain

Training Captain Brian Stewart has been hired by Clark County Fire District 11. Previously, Stewart worked for Newark and San Francisco Fire Departments in California. Stewart taught for eight years at Chabot College in Hayward, Calif.

Stewart received his bachelor’s degree in Fire Science from Cogswell College and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in public administration through Golden Gate University. He has received many awards for his work.

Randy Tuminello

Vancouver businessman joins Parametrix

Parametrix has hired Vancouver resident Randy Tuminello as the director of marketing and business development. Tuminello brings 25 years of experience in marketing, and specializes in client relations and strategic planning.

Prior to joining Parametrix, Tuminello spent 14 yeas as the founder and managing partner of Vancouver-based management consulting company TrustBuilders International.

Gary LaVenture

Cascade Heart hires administrator/CEO

Gary LaVenture has joined Cascade Heart as its administrator and chief executive officer. Previously, LaVenture held similar positions with Broadway Medical Clinic and Cascade Physicians. Most recently, LaVenture served as director of clinical operations and clinic manager for Providence Medical Group.

Todd Thayer

Kiwanis Camp led by Vancouver resident

Tod Thayer is now executive director at the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp.

Tod Thayer has been a Vancouver resident for 48 years, was a member of the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce with both Prudential NW Properties and The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and is a chamber ambassador.

Cricket hires, promotes

Cricket LCW has hired 14 new employees and promoted nine during the first quarter of 2007. The new corporate employees are Trevor Oster, vice president of technical operations; Tara Engels, accounting manager; and Stephen Hatcher, field technician II. Also, Cricket has promoted Christopher Alvarez to sales coordinator, Shawn McBride to switch technician III and Elizabeth Swanson to field technician II. On the retail side, Adam Sinclair was promoted to assistant manager.
