ELIZA LANE

Historic Reserve Trust names manager

Eliza Lane has joined the Vancouver National Historic Reserve Trust as tourism manager. She worked previously in communications, project management, marketing, events and strategic planning for Vancouver and Portland organizations including Hunt Communications, the Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association, Katlin Smith Communications and the Portland Oregon Visitors Association. In Lawrence, Kan., Lane worked in marketing for the city of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the Lawrence Convention and Visitors Bureau. Lane has Bachelor of Arts degree from Grinnell College in Iowa and studied integrated marketing communications at the University of Kansas.

PBS expands in Vancouver

PBS Engineering and Environmental recently announced three new employees along with new shareholders and senior associates at its Vancouver branch.  

New to the Vancouver office is project engineer Michael Rafferty. Rafferty is a licensed professional engineer in Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Bucknell University.

Bryan Kast is the Vancouver office’s new civil designer. He held a similar position at Wallis Engineering and graduated from Washington State University. Kast is a certified engineer-in-training.

Sophia Miksa is marketing coordinator at the Vancouver branch. She most recently worked in marketing at Mattern and Craig Inc. civil engineering in Roanoke, Va.

Rajiv Ali, a senior geotechnical engineer, is one of four new shareholders, and works in PBS’ Vancouver office.

Among the firm’s eight new senior associates are Todd Leavitt, IT manager; Gina Erickson, office manager; and John Jenkins, senior engineering geologist, all in Vancouver.

Port of Longview promotes three

The Port of Longview has made three staff appointments.

Norm Krehbiel, who is currently port director of facilities and engineering, will serve as deputy executive director. He joined the port in 1993, and is a civil engineering graduate of Oregon State University.

Valerie Harris was promoted to director of marketing and will fill the position in May with the retirement of Gary Lindstrom. She currently serves as manager of business development. Harris came to the port in 2004 from Vestas American Wind Technology Inc. in Portland.

Ashley Opsahl-Scibelli is the port’s the new manager of communications and public affairs. She worked previously as marketing director at PNE Corp. in Longview. She is a graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in communications.

 

Barbara Brace

Columbia River Bank gains loan officer

Barbara Brace was recently named vice president and commercial loan officer at Columbia River Bank in Vancouver. She brings 25 years of banking experience to the position. Brace has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California and a Master in Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University. She is a member of the Vancouver Downtown Rotary Club and is on the board of directors for the Children’s Center in Vancouver.  

 

Wayne Clemetson, Yvonne Payne, Ed Turk

EOCF names board members

Educational Opportunities for Children and Families in Vancouver added Wayne Clemetson, Yvonne Payne and Ed Turk to its board of directors.

Clemetson is vice president and business relationship officer for Bank of Clark County. He was YMCA executive director in Clark County in 2004, when he retired from the organization after 40 years. Clemetson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University in Los Angeles.

Payne is a professional pianist and piano teacher and serves as an ambassador for the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. She studied music performance and education at Lower Columbia College and the University of Washington.

Turk is senior vice president of lending at iQ Credit Union, where he has worked 11 years. He is a member of the Camas-Washougal Rotary Club and a Leadership Clark County 2003 graduate. Turk volunteers as a youth sports coach.

Hospital Foundation appoints Schauer

Al Schauer was recently appointed to the Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation board of trustees. Schauer is president and CEO of MacKay and Sposito of Vancouver.

SWHRMA names communications director

Wendy Henderson has been named communications director of the Southwest Washington Human Resource Management Association for 2008. Henderson is a human resource generalist for The Management Group Inc. in Vancouver.

YW Housing names board members

YW Housing of Vancouver has named new directors.

Cheri Meyerhofer is the new board president, replacing Jennifer McCartney in the position. Meyerhofer is vice president of human resources at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver.

Jim Massey will serve as the board’s vice president. Ken Bello and Marien Vera are the board’s newest members.
