Rebound Orthopedics manager earns “highest distinction”
Clay Foster, patient services manager at Rebound Orthopedics and Neurosurgery, has become a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), the certification body of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
According to the clinic, fellowship in the ACMPE is the highest distinction in the medical group practice management profession. ACMPE membership comprises more than 6,600 individuals nationally who have attained CMPE or Fellow status or who seek certification.
Foster began working at Rebound in 2000. During his tenure, Rebound said he has held several positions and now manages a staff of 45 at four offices. Foster also serves on the advisory board for the Clark County Skills Center Legal/Medical Office Applications program and on the advisory board for the Clark College Medical Office Technology program.

Empower Up, a nonprofit organization that provides computers, education, job skills training and access to the Internet to families in need, has announced the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors: Jim Lucey, controller at Linear Technology; Michael Parker, founder and director of marketing of Gravitate and Lisa Schmidt, owner of Marketing Matters.
The nonprofit said new board members bring substantial financial and marketing expertise to the growing organization.

The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington recently welcomed the following new members to its Board of Directors: Gerald Bader (pediatrician, The Vancouver Clinic), Donna Bleth (Sole Purpose Salon), Alden Roberts (surgeon and chief Medical officer, Peacehealth Southwest Medical Center) and Tricia Roscoe (chief executive Clark County and Southwest Washington, Providence Health & Services).
The clinic said each member has been appointed to three year terms.
The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington provides free, compassionate, quality health care to children and adults who are otherwise unable to access such services. The clinic offers medical, dental, vision and specialty care services that are provided by over 600 volunteer professionals. It is funded by the local community and all donations stay in Southwest Washington.
