International Air & Hospitality Academy, NW Renewable Energy Institute announce management promotions

The International Air & Hospitality Academy (IAHA) and its subsidiary, Northwest Renewable Energy Institute (NW-REI) recently promoted three employees to its management team.

The school’s new director of career development is Pam Richman, who moves from her previous position of career development specialist. Tim Simon becomes manager of career development for the school’s airline program (IAHA) and Kathy Johnson takes over as manager of career development at NW-REI, the school announced.

Richman has been with IAHA and NW-REI since May of 2011. Richman is experienced in the staffing industry, having worked with numerous companies and individuals connecting talent with job opportunities. She will oversee the direction of career development for the school’s airline, culinary, hospitality and wind programs, as well as remain active in training and coaching with students and graduates, the school said.

Simon takes charge of the day-to-day operations for IAHA’s airline career placement programs. Simon, a graduate of International Air & Hospitality Academy, has worked at the school since December of 2010 developing relationships with hiring managers in the airline and travel industry. He has previous experience as a flight attendant and travel agent as well as a technical recruiter.

Johnson, a 1997 graduate of International Air & Hospitality, has worked at the school since 2009. She previously served in the career development departments at the IAHA and Northwest REI campuses. Like Simon, Johnson will oversee the day-to-day operations and generate job opportunities for Northwest REI students. Johnson has previous experience working in passenger services and as a gate agent for Horizon Airlines.
