SWCVB announces new board members

Southwest Washington Convention and Visitors Bureau last week announced the newly-elected officers of their 2010 Board of Directors, effective Jan. 1.

The board includes Gerry Link, general manager of Hilton Vancouver, assuming the position of immediate past chair; Alison Hite, general manager of SpringHill Suites, serving as  board chair; Carla Rise, general manager for Residence Inn, vice chair; and Brian McClary, director of operations for The Heathman Lodge, continuing in the position of secretary/treasurer. Jayson Zimmer, general manager of Staybridge Suites and Patrick Quinlan, general manager of The Red Lion at the Quay, also joined the Board as newly-elected directors. 

The SWCVB is an economic development organization responsible for competitively marketing Vancouver and the surrounding area as a destination for meetings, conventions and group and leisure travelers. 

Southwest Board of Directors elects new leaders

Lee Kearney, a retired executive with Kiewitt Construction, has been elected as chairman of the Board of Directors for Southwest Washington Health System. Kearney takes the helm from ESD 112 superintendent Twyla Barnes, who has served as chair since October 2005.

Also selected for the board was Brett Bryant as vice chair, Judi Brenes as secretary and Ron Prill as treasurer.

Bryant is the executive vice president and chief relationship officer of First Independent Bank in Vancouver. Brenes is a former nurse and leader with Kaiser Permanente. Prill is the former president of Target Financial Services.

The 16-member board is comprised of community leaders who volunteer their time and experience to the 150-year-old Southwest Washington Medical Center and its affiliated health service entities, including Southwest Medical Group, Columbia United Providers, and Southwest Homecare and Hospice.

Realtors join The Hasson Company in Vancouver

Hasson Company Realtors recently welcomed realtors Carol Murray and Hilary Bergeron to its Vancouver branch.           

Murray brings more than 20 years of experience to the business, including an education from the Graduate Realtor Institute and the Accredited Buyer Representative and Certified Home Marketing Specialist designations.

Bergeron developed a love of real estate through her experience in property management, creating trust with her clients, helping them identify quality investments and secure a personal connection.

Based in Lake Oswego, Ore., The Hasson Company has 265 real estate agents located throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.
