Clark College Foundation board of directors adds two members

Two Clark County business professionals, Jeanne Firstenburg and Renee Nutter, have been appointed to serve on the board of the Clark College Foundation.

Jeanne Firstenburg was recently appointed to the office of president of First Independent, the region's largest privately-owned, locally-managed bank. Since joining First Independent in 2002, she has directed the rebuilding of the bank's infrastructure and branding. Firstenburg is active in many community organizations and was named a 2009 Woman of Achievement. She began her educational path in a community college setting and advocates the accessibility to higher education provided by community colleges.

Renee Nutter is a lifetime resident of the Vancouver area.

She and her husband, Jerry, president and CEO of Nutter Corp., both attended Clark College. Nutter has served on numerous local committees and boards involving youth, education and activities. In 2007, she became the director of Dozer Days, an annual event that hosts over 20,000 guests and provides the community with family fun while raising money for local children's charities. Since 2008, Nutter has served on the education advisory board of the Washington Policy Center.

Tony Johnson

Tony Johnson, a producer with Davidson Insurance in Vancouver, was recently recognized for completing the Liberty Northwest New Producer Program and receiving the professional designation of accredited advisor in Insurance from the Insurance Institute of America. The 30-week development program provides studies in commercial lines coverage, insurance risk management techniques, and insurance sales. Johnson was required to pass a series of examinations to successfully complete the program and attain the AAI designation.

Johnson has been a producer with Davidson Insurance since 2009. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware.

Cathy Coy

Cathy Coy, services coordinator for Outsource Technologies, Inc., has been promoted to Client Services Manager.

In her new role, Coy will oversee account management responsibilities, working closely with client and OTI technical service representatives in the delivery of strategic IT consulting and managed services.
