Megan Markel

 

In her role as Vice President of Investor Relations, Markel will lead the regional economic development organization’s fundraising and development activities and investor relations. She is also responsible for forging partnerships with the business community.

Gayle BeacockGAYLE BEACOCK

Gayle Beacock of Vancouver-based Beacock Music Company has been elected to the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Board of Directors. She will serve a three-year term helping to guide the global music product industry.

Beacock, a second-generation music store owner, brings marketing expertise and forward-thinking savvy to the board, the organization said. She is a member and past president of the Retail Print Music Dealers Association and the National Association of School Music Dealers. She has also presented educational sessions for NAMM U, the industry-education division of NAMM.

“We have been an enthusiastic member of NAMM since 1976, the year Beacock Music opened its doors,” Beacock said. “With their vision, outreach, education and advocacy, NAMM has helped us grow and develop our business, creating happy music makers every day.”

Shane SmithSHANE SMITH

Coldwell Banker Bain recently announced that Shane Smith will lead the company’s expansion of property management in the Vancouver/Clark County area.

Smith is an experienced property management professional with more than five years in managing properties in the Southwest Washington area. Previously, he managed a staff and portfolio with over 650 single-family and small multi-family rentals. He also has civil litigation and industry related legal experience.

“Our leadership team has been looking for the right person for this role over the past two and a half years,” said Dorothy Ennes, director of the property management division at Coldwell Banker Bain. “Shane’s experience with hands on property management, along with his consulting and training background, makes him an ideal person to lead this division.”

Columbia Title has hired Richard Mensinger as its new county operations manager.

Mensinger has more than 35 years of experience in the title insurance industry with an extensive background in title clearing, underwriting and management. He has nearly 29 years of experience working in Clark County.

 

Doug BartocciDOUG BARTOCCI

Doug Bartocci, an office broker in NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson’s Vancouver office, was recently awarded the advanced title of associate vice president.

Bartocci, who was one of NAI NBS’ Top 10 Producers in 2012, has been with the company since 2005 and has a diverse background in sales and marketing.

He is on the Commercial Association of Brokers (CAB) Oregon/SW Washington Board of Directors, and has achieved the respected Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.

SHARE BOARD OFFICERS

Share has elected their 2013 board officers, including Peter Fels, elected to a second year as president of the board.

The additional officers are as follows: Jeff Kassel (community member) as internal vice president; Tim Miller (US Bank) as external vice president; Ronald Dobyns (Columbia Credit Union CFO) as treasurer; and Wendee
Shuell (Educational Opportunities for Children & Families) as secretary.

Martin Flynn, CenturyLink senior marketing manager, was voted in for a first-term position. He has been volunteering for the past year with Share’s Backpack program.

“We are honored to elect our new executive officers and to welcome new board director Martin Flynn,” said Diane McWithey, executive director for Share, in a press release. “Each one of our directors provides diverse perspectives and experiences that will enhance our efforts to serve the hungry and homeless in Clark County.”
