Randy Teegarden

Previously, Teegarden worked for GTE Government Systems, designing microprocessor-based hardware and software for signal analysis systems.

He holds a bachelor of science in electronics engineering technology from the DeVry Institute of Technology.

Avantika BawaAVANTIKA BAWA

Avantika Bawa, assistant professor of fine arts at Washington State University Vancouver, won the 2013 award for Early Achievement in Scholarship/Creative Activities from the College of Arts and Sciences. This was a system-wide award encompassing all four campuses that make up Washington State University.

Fourteen individuals received awards and certificates. Bawa, was the only faculty in liberal arts and the only faculty from the Vancouver campus to receive an award for scholarly activities.

Bawa is an artist, curator and academic. She has had six major solo shows and participated in 10 curated/juried shows. Her work has been exhibited extensively throughout the United States, Russia, Canada and India.

LISA BODNER & DANIEL WEAVER

The Board of County Commissioners recently reappointed a member and an alternate member to the Board of Equalization. The terms are for three years.

Lisa Bodner, past president of Peoples Community Credit Union, served one term on the Board of Equalization and more recently, has been an alternate board member. She was chief executive officer of Peoples from 1981-1997, and served six years on the board of directors for YMCA of Columbia-Willamette. She is a graduate of Clark College.

Daniel Weaver, a board member since 2004, is a Vancouver business and financial consultant with more than three decades of experience in six states. He is a certified public accountant, and serves as chair of the county Railroad Advisory Board. Weaver is a graduate of Oregon State University.

The Board of Equalization provides an impartial citizen forum for property owners to resolve issues involving property tax valuations and exemptions.
