Joan Skelton
Joan Skelton, the longest serving Evergreen Public Schools Board member, has announced her intent to resign effective at the end of the month. She has served 18 years as the District 2 director.
In announcing her resignation, Skelton said that she wants to spend more time with family and in other volunteer roles.
Skelton is a graduate of the Washington State School Directors Association (WSSDA) leadership training, and served several years on the WSSDA nominating committee. She is a WSSDA MAPS (Members Assisting Peers) member and co-founder of the Clark County Quality Education Coalition. She also served as the WSSDA Board Standards task force chair and is a former member of the Evergreen School District Foundation.
