Buckley Timothy

 

A Washington State University graduate, Buckley is an AIAWA board member and past president of the council and the Vancouver chapter. He was chair of the council’s political action committee for multiple terms and testified before the state Legislature as a knowledgeable representative of architects.

Buckley is a LEED accredited professional with building design and construction specialty endorsement. He has been a guest presenter at universities on architectural process and sustainable design and has moderated several sustainability forums, the council said.

He is the immediate past president of the Rotary Club of Vancouver, a past Southwest Washington Red Cross Board member and a past chair of the City of Vancouver Design Review Committee.

The Vancouver USA Regional Tourism Office recently announced the recipients of the sixth annual Clark County Tourism Awards, honoring star individuals and organizations that have made considerable contributions to tourism and economic growth in Clark County.

The three category winners were nominated by their peers and then selected by the Vancouver USA Regional Tourism Office. The 2012 Tourism Award winners are:

• Deborah Bessette, Tourism Ambassador Award

• Russell Brent, Outstanding Tourism Professional Award

• Ke Kukui Foundation, Spirit of Tourism Award

“There are many tourism heroes in our communities that have positively impacted economic growth in Clark County,” said Kim Bennett, president and CEO of Vancouver USA Regional Tourism Office, in a press release. “The Tourism Awards recognize the effort, innovation and leadership displayed by organizations and individuals who strive to attract visitors to Clark County.”
