Scott Keeney

 

The ADA’s annual award recognizes individuals who have attained success in their chosen field or endeavor, have carved out time to teach and mature their children, while also becoming good citizens and proud members of their community.

In addition to his responsibilities at nLIGHT, Keeney is the founder and chair of nConnect, a nonprofit focused on enhancing rigorous high school science and math programs with mentors from high tech companies. He is also a board member of The Community Foundation of SW Washington and the former chair of the Southwest Washington High Tech Council.

Joining Keeney in receiving the Father of the Year Award are: Duncan Campbell, founder of Friends of the Children and The Campbell Group; Chris Dudley, former NBA player and founder of the Chris Dudley Foundation; Mike Greene, partner at Rosenthal, Greene & Devlin P.C.; and Craig Robinson, head men’s basketball coach at Oregon State University.

KRISTEN JONTOS & REBECCA LANG

The Fort Vancouver National Historic Site has welcomed two new employees to the park’s staff: Kristen Jontos and Rebecca Lang.

Jontos will serve as the business manager for the East and South Vancouver Barracks. In this position, she is responsible for the financial aspects of the implementation of the master plan for the site, which envisions its transformation into a vibrant mix of commercial, office, retail and educational spaces.

Lang will serve as the park’s new administrative officer. She brings 11 years of park service experience, having worked at Olympic National Park in Washington, Haleakala National Park in Hawai’i and Point Reyes National Seashore in California. She has served in a number of administrative positions throughout her career. In 2011, she was awarded the Department of the Interior’s Honor Award.

“We are extremely fortunate to bring Kristen and Rebecca to Fort Vancouver,” said Fort Vancouver National Historic Site Superintendent Tracy Fortmann. “Their wealth of experience and business acumen will be strong assets as we move forward with park operations and particularly the new chapter for the East and South Vancouver Barracks.”

Melissa LucoreMELISSA LUCORE

Riverview Community Bank employee, Melissa Lucore, has been elected treasurer of the Fort Vancouver Community Television (FVTV) board of directors.

Lucore has been with Riverview since 2005. In her eight years with the organization, she has served in a variety of capacities, from working in the loan servicing department to her current role as customer service representative at the bank’s downtown Vancouver branch.

“I think she (Lucore) is going to be fantastic, “said Ronald Carr, FVTV’s immediate past chair. “She is a motivating and dedicated individual who can offer a lot of great advice. Since she is so well known in the community she will not have a problem fitting right in.”

ChrisTinnonCHRIS TINNON

Vancouver CPA firm Frumenti, Lander & Wallace recently announced the hiring of CPA Chris Tinnon.

Tinnon has more than 15 years experience in public accounting with various national, regional and local firms in Colorado, Arizona, Washington and Oregon.

A graduate of Colorado Mesa University, Tinnon earned his bachelor of science in accounting.

He currently serves as treasurer of Southwest Washington Youth Soccer Association.

Carol HoldenCAROL HOLDEN

Relocation and storage company Lile North American has hired Carol Holden to serve as a commercial relocation consultant at its Vancouver office.

In her new role, Holden will offer commercial relocation and logistics solutions to businesses throughout the region.

A longtime resident of Vancouver, Holden is actively involved in the local community, and is an active participant in local theatre groups.

Tiona Dumas has been appointed to be the new director of events for the Hilton Vancouver Washington.

Dumas brings 18 years of hospitality industry experience to her new role. From 2002 to 2012, she served as the director of catering at the Wyndham Colorado Springs in Colorado Springs, Colorado; the Red Lion Hotel on the River in Portland; the Doubletree Lloyd Center in Portland; and most recently at the Red Lion Hotel on 5th Avenue in Seattle.
